Our stainless steel planters offer a sleek modern aesthetic with high ware and durability. Perfect for commercial and public access installations. Stainless steel is one of the world's most durable and strong materials with excellent corrosion resistance. It is typically 70% recycled and 100% recyclable. All of our stainless steel planters have a satin brush finish. Planterworx uses T-304 stainless steel in it's normal production. However Planterworx strongly recommends in a coastal environment T-316L electropolished materials. This is provided with a slight upcharge.

What is Electropolishing?
Electropolishing is a "bathing" process, which combines an acid solution with electrical current to remove microscopic burrs from the surface of stainless steel, leaving a bright lustrous finish. Unlike electroplating, which adds a layer of material to the surface, electropolishing is the controlled removal (within .0001") of inconsistent surface material. Passivation, which is a natural by-product of electropolishing, making the surface corrosion resistant. Perfect for coastal environments.
